- The LEAGUE FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION OF HUNTINGTON, INC. (Dog Program) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of stray and abandoned dogs. Our volunteers work out of a local town shelter where we walk, groom/bathe, socialize and behavior/temperament screen the dogs housed there in an effort to place them in loving, permanent homes. Because new dogs arrive daily, the ones pictured on our website are just a few of many waiting to be adopted. We highly recommend contacting us so that we may introduce you to all of our wonderful dogs. That perfect match is just a phone call--or e-mail--away!!
