Donations needed for dog with new eyes and puppy with 2 broken legs
Sammy (a 4 year old, purebred Black Lab) was turned into a local shelter when his owner sadly passed away. He is my foster dog who has taught me so much in the few months he's been with me and my fiance. Sammy is different from other dogs, Sammy is blind. He was born with detached retinas and cataracts and it recently got to a point where he was experiencing much discomfort and pain. Our rescue group had him checked out by his ophthalmologist and it was recommended that his eyes be removed, there was no hope in correcting Sammy's eyes . He has since undergone the surgery and was fitted with prosthetic eyes, and he looks absolutely MARVELOUS and most importantly PAIN AND DISCOMFORT FREE!! The good news, is Sammy has also been adopted by a loving family, and once he has recovered from his surgery he will be going to his new fur-ever home!
“Lindsay” was found on Saturday night on Linden Blvd. laying in a pool of blood. She was a victim of a hit and run but a good samaritan found her and rushed her to an emergency veterinarian. As a result, this poor female pit bull mix, about 1 year old, has 2 broken femurs on her rear legs. She needs surgery, and her surgery will most likely require the placement of pins in her legs. Even $1 would help this little girl enjoy a long life she so deserves. During her recovery, “Lindsay” will be placed in a loving foster home until she is strong and well enough to be adopted into a loving forever home!
Please donate to help Sammy or Lindsay. Sammy may be blind but he knows how to play fetch and catch a ball, and is just an overall sweet boy. Both of Lindsay's back legs may be broken but she is still very sweet and hasn’t allowed this to dampen her spirit.
