Little Shelter's 'WALK FOR THEIR LIVES 09'

Join in and stretch your legs for a cause at ‘WALK FOR THEIR LIVES 09’ on Sunday, May 17, and you can help Little Shelter save animals! This fun event includes free giveaways, dogs on parade, behavior demonstrations, refreshments, music, prizes, pet parenting tips, amazing tricks by Jilli Dog & Spikey, adoptable dogs and cats and more! Get your coworkers, friends and family together and walk as a team, or ask them to sponsor you and help you raise more money! The first 200 walkers with $50 more in sponsorship will receive a free t-shirt. The walk, sponsored in-part by Branch Financial Services of Smithtown, and Broadway Mall is being held indoors at:

Registration begins at 8:30am and the walk begins at 9:00am

Gus, the “Official Spokesdog” of this year’s event, suffers from a condition known as hip dysplasia which makes normal tasks like walking painful. While many dogs require a simple orthopedic surgery to correct the problem, Gus needs a full hip replacement, followed by extensive rehabilitation so he can lead a comfortable, happy and pain-free life. All of this comes at a cost, but with your help we can make that happen! The proceeds of this event will be used to give Gus his much-needed surgery and help him become a bouncing, vibrant boy again.
